Christmas

Writer's picture: Mike WilkinsonMike Wilkinson

Though far from your homeland

This Christmas you’ll be

Here’s the seasons good tidings

From Tommy and me…

May your stockings be filled

With blessings galore

And the New Year brings happiness

To Knock on your door

Your health we will toast

With a glass of red wine

As we sing out the words

Of the dear Auld Lang Sine

AS we look from our window

Soft snowflakes fall down

Covering rooftops and chimneys

Of Newtownards town

And you my dear friends

In Australia’s great heat

Will spend Christmas with loved ones

Gathered around your wee feet

Cheers

Merry Christmas to you and your family
